The second Mansfield show in 2003, July 3rd. The previous night they pulled an all-nighter partying with the Buzzcocks after night 1 - the band was loose and while the entire boot is fantastic (esp. if you're a MM fan), the solo during Alive is simply mind blowing. I wish I could link a youtube video, but they don't exist for that show -- sad indeed. It is my go-to boot.

For me it's Newcastle 06, mainly for the surprise factor. Alive is one of those songs that you just expect to hear when you see PJ but I don't think anybody (except for Mark Richards, who wrote the setlist) was expecting them to open the show with it.

It set the tone perfectly for an awesome show.

That was definitely a good show but Alive is better with the long Mike solo and the crowd rocking their asses their off as they feel that the show is nearing to its end. That was somewhat a shorter version, if I am not wrong and the crowd was caught off-guard and didnt get into it as well as needed.

The one that I've seen live that sticks out in my head the most is Philadelphia 05

Ed was standing on the risers and said something like "this is our moment, this is us" right before the solo.
    Have me chills.

Reading Festival 06 was another amazing version that I was lucky enough to see. It was one of the first festivals they'd played since 2000 and Ed is almost in tears at the end of it. It's very emotional and every time I see it I get a little choked up.

Ed's voice is a little coarse but Mike rips the solo a new one at Seattle 2 in 1998.

I listened to this a thousand times on the oceans single.

The emotion is great!! Man... This shit got me hooked for life!

Watch at the end when they show the crowd all fist pumping in unison and the look on eddies face is priceless. It's the first time, literarily, this has ever happened with this many people.

    Amazing moment I'm time..

    4:58 - 5:20. Goosebumps just watching 30 seconds!

I know! It took us until Elderly Woman (12 songs in) to catch our breath. Corduroy opening Encore 2 was weird too, it was like they were going to start all over again!
