Neither. Pittsburgh will be the show of this tour and is definitely your best bet.

I can't recall the opening show of a tour being ever being "the show of the tour". with that said, you can't go wrong with either show. i'd say pj23.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me......

 It has been 7 long years, a new album dropping just days before the show, a new(ish) arena, and a tour opener. The only thing that won't be epic about the Pittsburgh show will be the inevitable "Here we go Stillers" chants but I guess that comes with the territory.

All shows are good but Philly NY Seattle are always in a league by themselves. Just wondering before I spend a bunch of money. I figured this was the right place to come for advice.

Without a true "Boston" show, history says NYC2, but don't expect a repeat of NYC2-2010. That was the final show of the tour, which this year's is not.

You can't go wrong either way.

But if you've never seen PJ in New York, do Brooklyn.

I would go with NYC. Those shows are consistently great. Some of the Philly areas shows (while the crowds were great) weren't as consistent setlist wise (Camden 2003).
