Broken Heart Walkabout - PJ Chicago Pitstop

2 weeks ago my wife told me she wasn't "in love" with me anymore for reasons I still don't understand, and that she fell in love with someone else. 2 days ago she gave me divorce papers to sign, bringing an end to a 9-year relationship and 4 year marriage. Needless to say my heart is not in the best of shape. To initiate the healing process and get my head straight, I've decided to go on my own sort of walkabout, which will include visiting friends and family in San Diego, Portland, Chicago, D.C., Miami, and topping it off with a surf trip to Nicaragua before coming back home to Hawaii. I didn't originally plan on being in Chicago in July, but now that I will be there I can't think of anything better to distract me from the heartache than a live PJ show. I've been to 10 so far (I know that's not that much compared to some people on here), and all have been amazing. Considering the circumstances, I think this Wrigley Field show would be extra special. The problem is the show is obviously sold out. I was wondering if there were any forum members had any suggestions on how to get a hold of a pair. Any help would be completely appreciated. Mahalo. - Rob

    Sorry for your troubles.

Just an observation - You obviously have the money and means to do a ton of traveling to get over a broken heart, so I would imagine you probably have the funds to go on StubHub and pay for a ticket.

Best timing for broken hearts. Dont know about wrigley but as US fall tour is on the way; by the end of the tour, PJ will heal you such that you wont even remember why you thought your heart was broken.

YOu might be the one offering those?

In any case, I agree OP should totally pay for it.

Nope. I'm not selling my 10C tickets. I'm looking forward to the show.

That was just a link to all Pearl Jam @Wrigley tickets on StubHub.

The OP asked where to get tickets and I mentioned StubHub in my first reply, but thought it would be a nice touch to include a link.

    Man, I was kidding.
Thanks for explanation, though. Was a good capture of what's going in with the thread. Might be useful for future reference.

Actually, she left me in a financial pickle. I've cashed in my small savings and getting help from family to hit the road. Was hoping to pay face value, but I'll try Stub Hub.
    Thanks.

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that. :( A broken heart is a tough time.
Stubhub is loaded with tickets. I'd wait until closer to the show as prices drop. You should come to the Full Shilling party! Nothing helps a broken heart more than getting bombed with a bunch of drunk 10Cers.

Man, I am not the one for counselling but it is Friday so I will give it a try.

Surfing and visiting relatives are all good and OK but man, you've got to do some real fun stuff like alcohol, strip-club, gambling, pot smoking... things that you will never be allowed to do again once you get into another relationship.

    I am serious.
