I think you are right about how the show is going to be epic.
It really is a "One of a Kind" show, at least in my eyes. Ed's hometown, Ed's love of Wrigley and the Cubs. A nice July evening at Wrigley. Personally I love the "Evening with Pearl Jam" part of the official announcement. This truly has the makings of a very special night.

    But we will see.[/quote]

I am hoping that you are right.

I think it is going to be weird mix of a crowd. A lot of angry 10Clubbers who are mad that they did not get GA in the lottery and a bunch of people who are there just because its at Wrigley and they remember liking Ten when they were in college.
  • The "angry" 10club members have nobody to blame but themselves. They made the decision to go for those few GA tickets that were available. Sure some didnt understand the process of how these tickets were going to be distributed, but most knew the rules. All of the fans with mediocre 10club numbers, who went for the lower bowl option, will get seats EXACTLY where their 10club number puts them at "regular shows". People with 250-300x 10club numbers will probably be 25-30 rows back on the floor, I would think.
    Take me piece by piece.....

Now to get this thread back on track... Does any one have access to the presale code to help out some fellow fans?

Would help you out, but I already have 2 other 10Clubbers that I am going to try and help out during the pre-sale.

I am sure they were good seats. In your and my eyes, they were good seats. But the definition of "good seats" has a whole different meaning when it comes to many Pearl Jam fan club members. They would rather cut off their arms, then sit in the Lower Bowl or Upper Deck.
    now we are talking...
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
    "..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."

Has there been any progress on finding Wrigleyville inhabitants that may not need all 6 of the tickets they are eligible to purchase?

I know there are a lot of 10C's here that would love get some tickets before the public sale on Saturday.

Of course they are. Oh I mean aren't. The people of Wrigleyville have to deal with the bullshit traffic on a Friday night (Cubs rarely play on a Friday night) and moms and dads need to now fight people for a space in front of their own house, drunk and loud people peeing in front of their homes due to lack of restrooms, and NO PARKING GARAGES anywhere in sight. Yeah, The Wrigleyville presale people actually get pretty fucking awesome seats. Just Saying

I think the best idea is for the Wrigleyville faithful to potentially do some buying for other 10C's with their pre-sale opportunity. With 6 tickets available per code, there should be some to go around before we have to chance it in the general sale Saturday. I would definitely PayPal gift someone that could help me out with 4 tickets..... :D

Does anybody have any experience with how the Cubs season ticket holder presale works? I know the limit is 6 tickets but do you get to pick which section they are in or do you just tell them how many tickets and you get whatever they have? Do they send you the tickets in the mail or do you have to pick them up at will call or something?

    Thanks in advance

Works just like Ticketmater on sales. Specify # of tickets and can either take best available or specify the various price levels which are available. You cannot pick specific sections, etc.

Just a heads-up from my previous Wrigley pre-sale experiences.

Before, I became a season ticketholder, I tried to use another person's pre-sale code to get tickets to the Northwestern vs Illinois football game at Wrigley. Somehow the pre-sale code is tied to the person's address or season ticketholder account information (credit card, etc) and when my info did not match the code, the Cubs cancelled the ticket order.

The codes are specific to the account/residence and are for one use only so I would be careful if you are trying to use someone else's code or buy/trade for one.

I agree completely. My brother is a Cubs season ticketholder. When he talked to the Cubs office the other day about the PJ presale they told him that giving the code to anyone else to use or selling of any tickets he buys using the code will result in him getting his season ticketholder status revoked. He's a die-hard Cubs fan and isn't willing to risk it. His Cubs season ticketholder status is the equivalent of what my TenClub membership is to me. I won't do anything that could remotely cause me to lose my 10C membership & he won't do anything that would cause him to lose his Cubs season tickets.

Well that certainly makes things interesting for those of us that are looking for a presale code. I figured they were one time use codes that are sent out but I didn't know the orders would be cross referenced back to the account holder's info. Doesn't sound likely that it will work even if I do get a code. :x

The code may work on the pre-sale sale date but your order may be cancelled later. That's what happened with my football tickets - my order initially went through but was later cancelled (and cancelled after the public sale so I missed out on that too).

And that's probably when they'd have the talk with the season ticketholder about letting someone else use their presale code. Not a conversation my brother wants to have with his beloved Cubs....

The code may work on the pre-sale sale date but your order may be cancelled later. That's what happened with my football tickets - my order initially went through but was later cancelled (and cancelled after the public sale so I missed out on that too).
