Parking at Wrigley

I see that there are lots of restrictions around the field. I also see that you can pre-purchase spots, but none of the online sellers list July 19th as having an event (since the Cubs arent playing).

Can someone who knows the area shed some light on the parking situation? Are there plenty of public garages?
Can you provide any tips or do's/don'ts regarding parking in Wrigleyville?

Thanks :D

I will be staying in River Forest, I can take a taxi in, I'm just worried about getting a taxi afterwards.

Yes, I am coming from NH, but not staying in a hotel though. I have a family member with an empty condo in River Forest (roughly 16 miles away from Wrigley).

Just got a qoute for Taxi service.

$30 each way. Not bad for door-to-door service. I'd like to hit some of the surrounding bars afterwards 8-)

I thought about it, but I think I will do just Wrigley this summer and wait to see what the fall tour schedule looks like.

I'm saving my $$, hoping for a fall road trip that includes Boston/Hartford/New York

Booked a hotel a block from the Red Line so that's how we'll be getting there.

It will be more than that because of the traffic. That is the rate if there is no traffic.

I would suggest taking LSD to the Irving Park exit. Turn left and follow 2 blocks and turn left on Clarendon/Halsted. Follow 2 blocks, including merging/turning left onto North Broadway at the fork in the road (Grace Street). There is a parking lot there on the left that I normally park in for Cubs games. Waveland Ave. is only a 1/2 block away (left out of the lot). Take a right on Waveland and it like a 5 or 6 block to Wrigley. I think it only cost $20 or $30. Maybe you want someone to verify all this though.
