Uh, interesting way these were packaged, not a fan of the pack job. Have some bent ends/corner.

    Also, no pick. Bah humbug!

Hard to see, but there is some creasing, (on top of the "i" in performing, and bent up corner.
I've never seen a poster tube like this one....very flimsy and unsecured.

Edit: Just sent an email to the shipping site as to the condition of the poster and how it was packaged.

Gotta see the pics of the tube. Holiday season tube passing by custom workers this time of the year? Hopefully the plastic tube won't be missing when it get's here.

Update: Not happy with the answers being given to me.
Transcript of email correspondence with Topatoco agent:

Disappointed in how the poster was shipped. Flimsy cardboard tube and poster put into plastic wrap.
Upon opening package, found poster to be dented on a couple edges, a bent up corner and some creasing(waving) on the poster image itself.

    Hey there Brian,

The tubes we ship the posters in are how we ship posters, and it's never been a problem before aside from things like, the tube getting run over by a mail truck! The plastic wrap is to protect it from moisture on the way to you.

If you could send us a photo of the damage you are talking about we'd appreciate it so we can see what you are talking about with damage to the poster.

    Here's a couple of pictures.

    Bent corner:

    Edge damage:

Creasing..hard to see in pic(through the "i" in performing):

    Hey there Brian,

Unfortunately in getting them signed just about all of them have the edge damage like you have a photo of. It's the nature of something being handled by human beings and not just straight printed and packed. We can send you a new one, and a reshipping label to send the one you have back to us. Obviously we'd want you to carefully re pack it in the clear plastic and the tube before sending it out to us to avoid further damage. If you want to pay $15 extra you can pay it by going <a href="http://topatoco.com/pay">to the <u>Handy Topatoco Pay Things Page</u></a> and clicking the Pay Now button we can flat pack it for you, otherwise it will come in exactly the same way the first one came.

Let us know what you'd like in terms of shipping you a replacement.

    Atraties

May I suggest your company change the way it packages and ships posters in the future. Thick poster tubes with seales plastic end caps is the norm. Posters are usually rolled in acid free craft paper inside the tube to further prevent any damage/shifting of print in transit. I have been an avid poster collector for many years and this method is the norm.
I have never seen the packaging of a poster like I have from your company.

I am extremely disappointed in the reasons given for the damage to the poster. So what you are saying is that the artist bent and damaged the print during the signing? I do not believe that. I have many prints both signed/numbered by artists that arrive in excellent condition.

For the record, I will keep the print, as I do not wish to shell out another $15 to mail back the poster with the high risk of getting another one in the same condition, because as you stated, "otherwise it will come in exactly the same way the first one came.".

    Brian

Finally, here is a pic of the poster tube.

No, thats how it comes normally! Nothing damaged it. Both ends(where there is usually plastic end caps) are just folded over like that and you just squeeze it open to get the poster out!

The only place for a pick would be inside the plastic bag that the poster is in. So it is possible.

Complete bs from this Company. I have s./n tomorrow prints that came in fine condition. But it also Came straight from the source and not this outfit. Not acceptable to pay that much for a piece of paper and have it be like that.....

Sadly, I think nothing will come of it.

Tom Tomorrow has been emailed instead of the vendor company.

Now when I say bag, I mean sealed plastic covering, like you would see around a cheap rolled up poster for sale.

Not saying it was wrapped in a bunch of grocery bags or anything....

If you ordered the print from Soto./Tara via cotton candy machine, the print was In a poly sleeve. Then craft paper then tube. That was the best packaging I've gotten I. A long time.
