I have the Mp3s which are roughly 250 kbps (VBR).
These sound amazing, the mix is the best I've heard... so regardless of format these are already way better than previous mp3s.
That being said, How much better are the FLACs? Has anyone compared 2012 mp3s to 2012 FLACs
I mean, if somebody is comparing a 2012 FLAC to a 2009 mp3, that doesn't help me really.
Also...
If I order the CD of the boots, is that better, same or worse than FLAC files?

FLAC/FLAC-HD is pretty much the same quality as a CD. They are compressed but lossless format so they are the best sounding files you can get. I can't imagine any human can tell the difference between a FLAC and a CD when listening.
The difference you'll see in FLAC files compared to even high quality MP3s is higher highs and lower lows. Basically a fuller sound.

Why go the Flac-HD route to iTunes where you'll have to convert the file to a format Apple can read it where as you can just download the Alac-HD format (that works for the Apple software) over @ http://www.livedownloads.com/live-music ... loads.html .
Than mp3 of course and even normal FLAC or a cd. But they require some capable hardware
To make a difference! It IS worth it.

Are there any issues transferring these files onto an iPod from iTunes ?

I don't know myself cause I don't own any Apple products but if the site say's the Alac & Alac HD Apple files will play on your iTunes, iPod, iPad, iPhone etc.. I don't think there will be any issues.
