2012 = Best Boots

Ive got just about every boot they have "officially" released and many of the important ones prior to official releases. These 2012 HD boots are nothing short of perfect. You can clearly hear everyone. Jeff's Bass sounds incredible. The left and right channels are a perfect blend of Stone on the right and Mike on the left. Of course, after many attempts, they FINALLY got Matt's sound down, at least since the 2000 boots.

    I concur....I have a modest setup in my minivan that kicks ass at tailgates and love the sound of these....drums are thumping, guitars crunching and eddie doesn't sound as separated. Well done i must say!

    When I was at the Manchester gigs I remember thinking to myself how
    great they sounded where i was standing, and probably the best sounding
    gig of PJs i had seen.. was hoping the boots would do it justice.

    Do they ever!!!!

    The HDs sound amazing !

    As a bass player myself, it is great to hear Jeff being loud and amazing.

    Thats great to hear. Looking forward to getting Amsterdam 2 next week and they better release the upcoming Philly show in this format

    And they should release Alpine in this format too!!!

    yea if not the best, up there with the best boots. 2000's sounded good. 2005 boots sounded good. 2010 boots were awful. What the fuck happened to that year? What happened to that mix? But yea these hd boots are fucking unreal.

    the amsterdam flac hd sounds amazing. I'm really glad I gave that format a try...it's going to clutter up my harddrive very fast, but who cares...it's like I'm INSIDE the sound. love it. want to marry that boot. I can only imagine Ams 2 now :shock: :corn:

    Yea dude, especially Newark. Such a great show and set list, so underrated. Obviously MSG also but Newark gets shitted on all the time.

    I thought the 2010 boots were a huge improvement over the 08 and 09. Doubt they'll ever beat the 2000 and 03 boots.

    I havent listened to the 08s in a while, but I dont remember as being as dissapointed in those ones. 2009 seem consistent with 2010 to me.

    John & Brett did an amazing job with the '12 bootlegs.

    I hope Pearl Jam Co. decides to release the 2011 Flac-HD & Alac-HD after the '12 releases.

    Doesn't the Alac-HD files play on iTunes and every other iApple products? Maybe not the .flac (Flac-HD) files but .alac (Alac-HD) files?

    These aren't being sold in ALAC format though are they? Maybe I'm missing something.

    Either way the FLAC-HD files should be able to be converted to ALAC keep them at 24 bit files. I know on a Mac it can be done using Max http://sbooth.org/Max/ but not sure for Windows. These files will play through iTunes no problem but not sure about iPod or iPhone. I don't think it really makes sense to put files of that size on an iPod or iPhone anyway but hey it's your space :)

    Their best sounding bootlegs so far perhaps?. They seem to be up there with Live on Two Legs in terms of quality IMO.
