Can't wait. Btw, love Springsteen. I'll be the only Mexican pearl jam/Springsteen fan there

  • Finally someone else excited for an Atlanta show. Though my wife too is a Mexican PJ/Springsteen fan. Good times will be had by all!

My brother and I are looking into going to both... anyone driving from Atlanta to Pensacola that would like to share costs (and driving)?

No, don't check out The Varsity. Go to The Flying Biscuit, Yeah! Burger, Fat Matt's, or Fox Brothers. I've got plenty of other places, just don't go to The Varsity :D

    Don't forget the Vortex!

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?

Why? You want the poor guy to have heartburn all weekend? At least have him go to the OK Cafe or something.

As for people not being 'happy' about Atlanta - Atlanta is the largest city in the South, and has not had a Pearl Jam show since 2003.

So if you want to begrudge us this...well, I don't know what to say. :P

The no parking is the only downside to this show.Take MARTA. There's a station a few blocks from the park.I live near the Medical Center Station so it's only a 20 minute train ride but I'd rather take a car and tailgate.

BTW The Varsity's Onion rings are the best I've ever had. I forgot to mention the Vortex. Best burgers in the country.

So excited soon as it was annouced me and my cousin were making plans to come down there. He has never been to ATL and i have only been there once and that was to see a Thrashers game way back in 2000 so i'm sure alot has changed. When i lived in Georgia i never made it to Atlanta because well honestly in my opinion my city Savannah is far superior to Atlanta.

But yes there are plenty of people excited sad that people bitch and moan because PJ isn't playing in thier back yard. Oh well should be a fucking great show last time in ATL 03 i bet they rock the fucking city to it's core.

    SEE YOU GUYS IN ATLANTA!!!!!!!!!!!
    My butt itches!

For once I agree with you. That may be the worst festival lineup I've seen in quite some time. It make the PJ20 lineup look like the original woodstock.

I agree. The only upside to Atlanta IMO is they sell one day passes for about the same price as a regular PJ show.

But that's one fan's opinion! I am happy for the ones who are stoked! 8-)

Now that it's been formally announced, I'm also really pumped for this. I've lived in ATL for 10+ years but have never gone to Music Midtown before, and am stoked to see my favorite band with 35,000+ other people -- with more than a few of those coming from out of town. Can't even complain about a 2 hour time slot, knowing there's a chance it will go later given that it's a Saturday night. Going to be a long 5 months waiting for this one.

I wish I could pull it off. Never been to ATL. But I'll be in Vegas 2 weeks before that. Then we're goin to St. Lucia for 10 days for the honeymoon. And a week after getting back from that, I'm most likely going to Nashville for the Bears game....a PJ trip in the middle of all that would have me heading towards divorce court I think

Still holding out hope that these 2 fests are part of a mini-tour and they swing through Chicago.

They sell one day tickets for LESS than a PJ show. Why worry about who else is playing that day? :P

P.S. I'm excited about this too.

Yeah yeah you've got a wedding and bachelor party and all that, I get it! I had to skip PJ at HOB when I was on my honeymoon (yes I was willing to pay the $1k ticket, ha!) - and I was not happy about it. That was the last time my hubby will get in the way of my PJ obsession!
