I'll go with Light years...that song holds special meaning with me...it always makes me think of my grandfather who I was really close with. He died 4 months after Binaural came out and it was a really rough time for me. The whole song makes me think of him but the lines " Your light made us stars " really stands out.

They're both amazing songs...but I'm partial to In My Tree, it's probably a top 10 PJ song of all time for me, and Light Years would be top 20 or so........

Well, It's In My Tree for me though it is a tough question because I find In My Tree to be almost 2 different songs with Jack Irons and with Matt Cameron is we are talking live tracks. Jack just has this weird different groove, it just "feels" different. Love how Matt does it also so it's ahead of Light Years.

Actually, want to know what's weird? I actually like the demo Puzzles and Games better then Light Years even though it's not finished and Ed mubbles the second verse. How weird is that?

In My Tree is Light Years ahead for me. Light Years isn't even in the top 3 on its own album and like someone said earlier, In My Tree is probably one of PJ's top 10 songs. Every song means something different to people though, and that's what makes being of fan of Pearl Jam so great.

    In My Tree

Would have been by a country mile a little while ago, but fairly recently Light Years has become much more of a favorite for me. Such a beautiful and meaningful song. Can't beat the Pinkpop '00 version with that speech before it.

not even close, IN MY TREE by a mile. Light years does nothing for me sorry I am a hater I guess.

In My tree/ no code are what in essence were the last step towards pure fanaticism for me. The vibe of NC, especially this tune, finally knocked Metallica off the pedestal of number one in my brain. Right record, right time for me.

Light Years of course! In my Tree is a classic and I'd love to hear it live...but really,...I'm happier that I have already seen Light Years twice! Such fantastic lyrics (and I rarely listen to lyrics).

So hard to choose, but I would go with Light Years. About a year ago one of my son's closest friends died, and this song was such a comfort to me. The words, the melody-such beauty.

    Love both...
Gotta go with In My Tree. Lyrically they are close....but musically I gotta give it to Tree.

That said, while i love PJ having keys...I HATE IMT with the organ!

I would say In My Tree, but at my next PJ show I would rather Light Years. After 17 shows, still haven't seen it live.
