What's the all-time best/hardest/rarest PJ item out there? I have a pretty massive collection...but I'm wondering if there is something that has slipped by me.

A few items I have that I've felt are pretty rare:
Ten Doormat
Ten Mini Basketball Hoop
(2 different) Ten Mini Basketballs
Yield Floor Sticker
Do the Evolution Poster
Kozik poster from '91 RHCP/SP/PJ Texas tour
Kozik poster from '92 SG/PJ Texas tour

  • From what I gather so far the Easy Street poster and Missing Link posters are damn near impossible.

Also a Benny and soon the billboards will be all locked down by people who will refuse to sell them and keep them framed (including myself) ;)

Actually keeping a poster to enjoy...crazy right?

McFarlane's DTE poster is not that rare, either is Koziks Pink lady poster. The Green one is harder to find.

The DTE isn't that rare but its certainly rare being from 1998 and better, its bad ass!! one of my prized possessions!

I had the floor mat at one time too. I gave it away to some guy in Az though who wipes his feet on it all the time after yelling at his wife for bending up his posters

I saw one on eBay recently...I knew I should have jumped on it and the next day it was gone!

How many of the original cassettes/CDs of the "Alive" promo single with "I've Got a Feeling" were made? Were those the first official record company release for PJ?

Thats a true classic. I'd be happy with the pink. Came close to acquiring it a couple of times, but never pulled the trigger.

mine used to be Benny and RVM on vinyl, but I cannot afford them at the moment, in fact, I don't think I will be able to afford Benny ever, and that is ok, I almost never listen to that CD, so, I'm certain that I will never spin the records of a concert I don't regularly listen, specially if I paid that much, maybe I'm just kidding myself... I may buy RVM on vinyl someday, it is not that expensive, though it's a litte, I may pull the trigger for that one someday, or may be I'm just kidding myself as well...
... I am not in the business of being liked anymore ...

  • Personally I've always felt that the basketball hoop & balls were the rarest items...I've never seen another set.
  • This is the '91 Kozik RHCP/SP/PJ poster that I have...I was told only 50 were made.

The story I got on the poster was that 50 were made, and 35-40 of them were given to RHCP...most of which were lost/wadded/pinned to hell...and the rest were sold. I finally got mine around 1998 and I think I gave $1000 for it then.
