Funny, I woke up with Yield in my head, heard Wishlist on the radio, am listening to Yield presently (I'm on Faithfull), and only now discovered that's it's the album birthday.
I started my Yield celebration day early in the morning, reading Charles Bukowski's Factorum and then listening to Yield in its entirety, You and Whale Song (Yield outtakes) from Lost Dogs as well as Given To Fly, Untitled Track, MFC and Do The Evolution from Live On Ten Legs. Five minutes ago, I finished watching Single Video Theory (DVD). That's a proper Yield celebration!

great album.happy when i'm crying, u, leatherman, the whale song, monkeywrench radio & SVT make it an unbelievably productive period. i remember all the articles & radio stations calling it a "return to form" & that the band became happier. you can tell from the vibe of the record that it's true. happy (belated) birthday!

listening to YIELD right now... one of my all time FAVE albums... 1998 was a truly magical year for me... this album came out and has been on heavy rotation ever since... and it was the year i met the guys!!!!
I had the privilege to review Yield for my college newspaper. At the time I thought it was just ok... Now, man, it means so much more. Such an awesome album. That was the first year I saw PJ live. It was an awakening when "50 million hands up raised and open toward the sky" in Wishlist at Alpine that year. Yield made that a good year.
