Although not an official bootleg, I always rely on Melbourne 98 to renew my faith on this band. Jack Irons, man. :D

    (no i was not there)

I was :) and it was fantastic show. mark richards setlist was long thought over. he did well.
And he signed my poster to boot. He really loves the fact that many fans look to this show. he gets reallly chuffed.
My fav followed by boston 06 acoustic early set and fantastic main show ( and it was a gift from mark as well)

The bootlegs I always go back to are; Aug. 2007 Lollapalooza is the first one I ever got, they rocked the fuck out of grant park and the lake front. And second, but my all time favorite, and my most wanted one that i finally got is July 1995, Soldier Field (Chicago). 2.5 hours of them at their BEST, rocking on a stage given to them by the grateful dead.

Atlanta 1994--memories of being in high school listening to this on the radio

Atlanta '94 - This show was a week and a half after my first PJ concert. I also remember listening to this show on the radio and having my cassette tapes out to record it (I still have the tapes). I bought the import cd of this for $50 a couple of months later at a local music store.

Toronto '96 - The sound quality of the bootleg isn't the greatest but this is an excelent show (even better for me since I was there). Great set list, very intense, great versions of "In My Tree", "Jeremy", "Not For You", "I Got Shit", & many more. Plus there was great, unsolicited, crowd participation.

The entire Spectrum Box Set - As we know, great sets and they played a ton of songs.

Cleveland 2010 - Great show I went to.

Alpine 2011 Box Set - .....Oh wait, that's not out yet. But it WILL be in high rotation !!!

Before official boots Atlanta 94, Soldier Field 95, Melbourne 95, Berlin 96 & Melbourne 98 all got fairly equal rotation. Since 2000 probably Berlin from that tour. Since seeing the band I've listened to those shows a lot and they will get many more plays. Sorry I couldn't pick one. Point a gun at my head I'd maybe say Atlanta. Fuck I wore that cassette recorded off the radio to the ground until is was just a static hiss! :D

    1. Katowice night 2 - the first boot I got & the one that helped me absorb Binaural.

    2. Seattle night 2, 2000. The incredible tour closer, given everything the band had gone through. "when will music get some respect in this fucking town?!"

    3. Calgary '05 - My first show. Oceans opened. Elderly Woman, Hard to Imagine, Wishlist, Corduroy, Given to Fly, Thumbing my Way, Sleight of Hand, etc. Our seats were behind Matt Cameron. To many memories...

one of the shows that i keep coming back to and which to my surprise hasn't been mentioned here if i am not mistaken would be Philly 2005. other favorites are Osaka 2003, Sendai 2003 or Melbourne 2009. that is aside from Atlanta '94, Soldier Field '95 and Melbourne '98 (which do get a lot of love here :D )

I'm glad you mentioned Melbourne 09 G!! I love that show and the down under shows didn't seem to be that highly rated? It's all LA/Philly/Boston/MSG/Berlin etc we hear about but Melbourne was nuts! Oceans mid set, Ten songs galore, Jeremy, Black, Deep, Why Go, Porch and Alive all during the encores plus that awesome Needle And The Damage Done!! Band and crowd on fire..... I do like your taste! :D

I have the Gorge box set as well. But there's something about that Katowice II bootleg. It's incredible. There's actually a small crowed as they played the night before. The show starts slow and just builds. It seemed like the band was having a lot of fun as they played whatever they felt like.

Besides that I go back to St. John's, NL nights 1 and 2. I remember driving to a library with free wi-fi the day after both concerts and downloading the bootlegs with my laptop.

MSGII '10, Newark '10, and Toronto II '11 are also in high rotation.

I just got a few more though.

NYC 2003, night 1, Love Boat Captain as the opener was really fitting as to how everyone was feeling that night and how the concert was going to be. Something about the Yield triple play of Low Light, Faithful, then Wishlist was something special as well, very special night.
