    Very impressive. Quick question neily since I dont really follow surfing like you do: Do people die from trying to surf these waves? Does it happen regularly and if so how do lifeguards or medecs or spotters or whatever regulate where people can and cant go?

    sadly , death does happen every so often.....i guess not as much as one would think

    you can never stop anyone from going in(you can warn them that its not the best idea..but that's about it)... but i think all these nuts realize death can come at any second

    surfing these waves is weird becasue you don't go surf these monster waves on nice calm days...you go when the swell is sickest /most dangerous

    it really is a crazy sport/hobby
