well I listened to spin the black circle from shows 2003 to 2011 , and I see eddie voice has changed ! I specially miss the early versions 95-2000.
to compare with other songs like DTE , eddie 's voice sound still great..

so sing just like him, fuckers
it won't offend him just me
because he's dead"

  • I totally agree, although I like his voice at all points in their career Spin the black circle is one of the songs that his vocal change is most obvious. Look for the video from 98 where they are playing it with Dennis Rodman and listen to his voice then, it's ridiculous how deep and powerful it sounds. I think with age and possibly from touring those extensive tours in 98, 00, and 03 a lot of strain has been put on his voice and he probably can't sing it that way anymore. Spin the black circle and Habit are two of the more noticeable ones, but even listen to the last line of DTE where he used to say really deep "Do the Evolution". Cool topic though, and btw I'm not ripping on his singing now, he's deff broadened his range with time, so in no way am I trying to insult.

I think it is fucking great to hear Eddie's voice evolutionize through the years. It makes it possible for his talents to soar in so many different directions and I think his voice is like a fine wine getting better with age. It is amazing how he can adapt and flow with the inevitable. Meaning yes aging sucks but the variances and different tones I think has made his creativity explode into new sounds that truly deliver in his songs and music. He is such an incredible musician/singer. He is such an amazing inspiration to the music world and so beloved across the world. I here what your saying and yes the times have changed but damn are we lucky. Most musicians lose the inspiration to write music once they have reached a 5,10 and definitely the 15 year mark and there voices go to shit. I think Eddie is well surpassing every singers dream and seems to self rejuvenate and has the gift of receiving in his soul life's inspiration. Eddie and the band WILL be around to shake up the music world for many many years to come. Eddie is a living legend and will always be around to give us those tear jerkers and masterful monster rock hits that can blow any generations mind. Crazy Eddie's voice can still shake a stadium and that's all their is to it.

I love Eddie's voice at all points in his career, as well.

Cue the complainers about his smoking, tho.... :?
