Alpine Weather

I know it's super early to start talking about weather for that weekend but i can't help it. The site Dryday.com has a pretty accurate long range out look on the chances of rain or not, and East Troy sep 2,3,4 all are looking pretty good. Here is what they have

east-troy-30-day-weather-forecast.jpg

The yellow are the dry days, the black the risky days, and the grey transitions. I have rellied on this site the last four years for our trip to Bonnaroo, and they have been on the money every year. As we get closer i'm sure this topic will get more discussion. Any Weather guys or girls in our ranks?

Not a Weather guy per se but my occupation (pilot) puts me in a position to deal with weather.

I would say that long term forecasts are pretty easy to get right for this time of year for that part of the country because of the position of the jet stream. It will tend to stay pretty low (Kansas, Nebraska area) and the northern states will only be exposed to low pressure disturbances that are fairly regular and predictable as they descend down out of Canada.

So if it says it will be dry I would say that's a good bet.

Pearl Jam fan (newbie to the forum), Wisconsin resident, and meteorologist - yes I am all three (but not a TV weatherman). September is one of the few good weather months we have here. Normals are mid 70s for highs, upper 50s to around 60 for a low. We've had a nice run of weather the last few months and hopefully it continues into early Sept. for PJ20.
