This gem is 25 years old next year, gave it a spin this morning and sounds as fresh and vibrant as it did in 87.

duffy's solos are spot on and i always appreciated the spot on drumming (sort of phil rudd like) on the album.

Anyone else love this rockin masterpiece? Only minor gripe i had was cover of born to be wild, talk about cliche'd.

I loved this album, as well as Love and Sonic Temple.
Can't remember when I last listened to them, might just dig the out and have a listen.

Also got a Manor Sessions EP that has an outstanding version of Outlaw on it.

'manor sessions' ep? have not heard of that, not really a cult fanboy. love and sonic temple sandwiched by electric was a 3 album joyride for me. saw them in san diego bout 5 years ago and they rawked. have heard astbury has some spinal issues and has gained weight as a result, movement and behavior is sporadic as a result...

was listening to it today...very overlooked band and album. just grabbed sonic temple, ceremony, and beyond good and evil from my friend; heard them all before but haven't owned them. Electric though has to be my fav; billy duffy does some awesome guitar work and ian's voice is quality throughout. Saw them a few years back too and kicked ass.

Probably my least favourite of all the classic Cult albums. Always go for Ceremony, Sonic Temple, Love and The Cult before Electric for some reason. Maybe should give it another listen, it's been years since I listened to it right through.
  • Classic album. Literally love every track (even Born to Be Wild - not sure why it gets such a bad rap. Love this live version from 89 - http://youtu.be/wuH9Vpgiva0). Heard rumours of the band playing this in full next year for the 25th anniversary which would be unbelievable.

I'll be honest, I haven't heard it. However, I have Love and I think it is a tremendous record. I'll have to check out Electric.
