EV Sold Out my Best Buy - In the lowly ole SOUTH

Proud to see that when I finally got there at 4pm there were no CD's no DVDs and only 3 BluRays....the young fella trying to help me asked "now who is this?" "How do you spell the last name"...he was amazed that they had gone on sale today and had nothing left.....maybe he'll check it out.. well I was somewhat broken not to have my WotR DVD to come home and watch but I am glad he sold it out in 6 hours.....In the South!!!!!! - Asheville, NC.

    They only shipped one cd per store to big markets. Doubtful your store even got a shipment.

    Ha. My Best Buy didn't even have the DVD on display. Some douche had to go into the back and dig one out. It's like they'd never heard of it.

    Some Best Buy exclusive. ;)

    No cd at my best buy in SE mass.....the sales associate asked me "what is he? Rock.......FOLK?"

    Nah man! UKE!?!

    I really didnt know how to respond....

    But I was able to get the dvd

    I did the same thing here in New Orleans. Went to local Best Buy at 5 this evening and asked assistant who replied How do you spell Vedder 'V..e..t..t..e..r"? They had no cd's, one dvd left under 'V'

    Got one for 8 bucks with the coupon someone posted and they had 1 or 2 left around 2 p.m. in the north of NYC burbs. Though I had the download at 9 a.m. from my vinyl purchase.

    2 CDs 3 DVDs and 1 BLURAY (mine) left @ south San Jose, CA, tempted to get the CD (looks nice) did not ordered it, just the songbook (+cd but I guess packaging will be different) VIA 10c... maybe I'll get it later...

    Went to 2 Best Buys in Las Vegas. They were not out at 4PM and it took them 20 minutes to find them in the back. Great exlusive promotion!

    Found the DVD, Blu-Ray, and CD rather easily at the Best Buy in King of Prussia, PA (Philly suburb). They were displayed prominently in the "new release" section. About a 3 - 6 copies of each.

    I noticed the VS. and Vitalogy reissues in the "best seller" section. I almost sprang for them but decided against it and just got the EV CD & DVD.

    ditto to everything he said at the Best Buy in Columbus, OH (Easton). I went at 4 pm, had no trouble finding them, had some of each ( and Vs and Vitalogy). I ordered the CD from 10 Club, and I wasnt gonna buy the dvd, but for 8 bucks, why not?

    The Best Buy in midtown Manhattan was sold out of the cd when I went in around 5pm today. They had a handful of the dvd and bluray left.

    I'm sorry, but LOL! After all that complaining in the other thread about 10C overcharging and you saving money at Best Buy...now you are complaining about Best Buy? Priceless!

    I went to Best Buy in Pleasant Hill, CA which is about 40 minutes or so East from San Francisco. I went after work, went in and started searching and then one Best Buy worker asked me if I needed help and I asked for the Eddie Vedder Ukulele CD and he told me he was sorry but they had sold out. He said they did not expect to sell out but they did. I was sad but with a smile too! So, I went to our local Rasputin and they did have it!! I am sooo happy... except, they did not have the DVD, so I'll order it through 10C.

    Thank you Eddie for such LOVELY work!! And the CD jacket is just amazing!! Thank you so much!!

    got the last DVD at about 6pm. Check out guy had trouble with coupon, but his co-worker helped figure it out.

    Gotta love Best Buy and their incredibly shrinking CD section. I miss the Listening Booth (record store in the mall from when I was a teenager)

    The best buy I work at still has a huge cd section, but was nearly sold out when I arrived. Only one left after I grabbed a pair of cd's

    The first Best Buy I went to today had nothing!
    The second one (larger store) had like 15 copies of the CD, 5 DVDs, and 2 Blu's.

    yeah incompetence is pretty funny, not my fault they didnt know about it or put it out.

    not worried about saving a couple bucks, 10 club should be taking care of its best customers, thats what good businesses do.

    The best buy I was at in nyc had a pile of cds, dvds, and blurays. The even had as many bluray as dvd and that never happens. well good luck to everyone still trying to get it. Going to watch the bluray in a few.

    I live in Asheville as well. They told me several people came early in the morning because they were so pumped. I had to go to Arden to get my copies.

    Perhaps I missed something amidst all the release date talk. I didn't think the Blu Ray was being released in the States until late June? Now I see everyone was picking up the Blu Ray at Best Buys down south yesterday? What gives? Why is 10C waiting until the end of frigin June to release the Blu Ray when Best Buy already has it for sale (and evidently much cheaper)?? Sorry in advance if I missed something...

    Same here. Althought I thought there were many more in the "NEW MUSIC" section than just that. I also swung by another store in the area in Montgomeryville and they had plenty of everything...

    It's a Best Buy exclusive release.... they get 30 days before 10C can sell it elsewhere.

    My local Best Buy in Warwick RI was sold out of everything yesterday at 5pm when I got there, they too had less the ten copies of the Blu-ray! I hate manufactured demand if you’re going to do an exclusive on something the least you could do is put in a reasonable order they don’t all have to sell in one day! :evil: A couple stores in southern MA still had copies so I went home and ordered one for in-store pickup I have until next Wed to pick it up, I hope they have it put to the side still when I finally get there it has been a long time since I made a seen in a public place. ;)

    Yep went to the BB in Fort Meyers Florida they didnt have them out and they had 2 copies of each. I took 50% of the stock. The south doesnt like rock and roll no matter what anyone on this board tries to say. yes there are some fans but its just not thier demographic.

    Got mine in South Florida yesterday. There was only 1 blue ray left and two CDs.
    See Eddie, you guys might sell out in the SOUTH! :)
