I will taking my son to visit the teachers college at Columbia University in NYC in early December. Does anyone have an suggestions on where to stay fairly cheaply. I know funny right everything is so expensive. Looking at a Hampton Inn in Yonkers or a Doubletree in Ft. Lee, NJ.
Thanks!

I stayed once in long island, is a 35 min ride on train but you save tons of money and long island is nice IMHO

  • For Columbia, Fort Lee would be convenient and much more affordable than NYC - espeically in December. You would go over the GW and be fairly close to Columbia. It's much closer than Long Island.
