One gift to Ed
I would like to give one full circle rainbow for people who i like. But, if i can´t do this, only wish, i´m giving one poem. This poem is from Carlos Drummond de Andrade, one brazilian poet. I´m not sure if the translation is ok, but i hope you understand. Happy Christmas for everyone and happy birthday Ed.
Absence
For much time I found that the absence is lack.
And lament, ignorant, the lack. Today I do not lament it.
It does not have lack in the absence.
The absence is one to be in me.
And I feel it, white, so footprint, hugged in my arms
I smile and I dance and I invent words
because the absence, this assimilated absence,
nobody steals it me more than.
