Going camping this weekend and I'm busting out my PJ Rain Poncho for the first time-- I'm stoked for it to rain! Still can't believe they made this. What do you got?

I think this is from about the September 16, 1996 show. I was concerned that this PJ concert was general admission. I called the tenclub and left a message over my concern.

When I went to the concert it was very well managed, and I felt stupid for over-reacting, so I sent to the PJ tenclub a check for the amount of the ticket, with thanks for doing such a great job at managing the show. I wrote that maybe they could buy pencils or something :D I was working a couple jobs so money meant a lot to me, and I wanted to send a thanks that would mean a lot to me even though it may not mean much to whoever read the letter.

The check was returned with a note from the tenclub saying they were glad I enjoyed the show. I still have it.

Not having had enough I went back to the scene of my first PJ show the next day and found the official contact list for the PJ tour staff and a obviously used Backstage Pass. Also found a Jeff pick and the broken Bass string from the opening band!
  • For me I have Eddie's encore setlist from the 2000 Kansas City Show. I was walking in front of the stage after the show and the roadie crumpled it up and just threw it towards the seats and instictively i caught this paper wad that was heading toward my face. I uncrumpled it and low and behold it was a setlist in eddie's handwritting. I was beyond myself and now it hangs in my living room as one of my personal prized possesions. I also got the setlist from the 2003 show but that show was rained soaked so the paper was soaked and ripped and the ink had all ran on the page, i tried like hell to save it but couldnt so that is also my biggest Pearl Jam related heartbreak.

    A sign that says:

    Attention!
    Moshing may take place
    Be aware of your surroundings
Moshing and entering a moshing area may be dangerous and is at your own risk

I found it on the windshield of my car after the 2008 Mansfield, Mass. show. My nephew and I had posed for a photo under a similar sign before the show _ we call it the "Auntie And Andy Go Moshing" photo. I suspect I know how it got there, but I'm not certain.

It's hanging in my office now. And since I'm a risk manager, it fits... although moshing is discouraged here at the hospital.

Have the the set list and the encore - two pages - from the Ciny 2006 show at US Bank Arena. Mike handed them to us. He handed us the encore halfway through. Has all the duct tape and a big shoe print in the middle of it. Framed and in my office. Not really sure if that is random though.

Yield street sign with Pearl Jam painted on the front. Not sure of randomness - won this as part of a Detroit radio station "win it (Yield cd) before you can buy it package," where I won the cd the weekend before it dropped. Sign was part of the grand prize that included copy of Monkeywrench Radio cd, 2 airline tix, hotel and 2 tix to any show in Continental US for Yield tour.

Also obtained a street sign from a road near the first house I bought. Road was E. Vedder Rd. Presumably there's a W. Vedder Rd, but obviously that sign meant nothing to me.

oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

A fake backstage pass with the artwork from the "Given to Fly" single I received as a freebie for attending a Yield listening party a few days before its release at an FYE in the Colonie Center in the Albany, NY area. For years, I had the giant Yield sticker with PEARL JAM written in place of YIELD that was approximately the size of those fathead things they sell of sports stars. It is no longer in my random things collections.

Day's back I was against the machine, the PC machine. Didn't know about it's power & didn't care about it's power. I would buy hundreds of CD's from the stores & through the catalog's for many year's. CD's were my drug & music was my energy bar. One week in Toronto I visited this small record/jewelry shop upstairs from a coffee shop that was across the street of Much Music. Going in my only focus was to search for anything Pearl Jam or Pearl Jam related. What I found in that CD box changed everything. I picked up this 2 CD Maui Experience set. Then there was another one behind it, Night 2, 2 CD set. It included Pearl Jam's & Mudhoney's set, first 2 show's of the Yield tour. 4 CD's total. The cases were opened as were many unofficial bootlegs came in for year's now, my first being 5 Alive back in '93 on CD. Well these CD's were different. On the back of the CD's they was this green dye color. They weren't silver CD's. I didn't know what was going on. Remember, I didn't know shit about technology; plus I live in a small town in Nova Scotia for petes sake. Well, when I heard about this CDR format and what power it has, I was hooked. And then came the Matrix film in theaters & so I was plugged into the Matrix (PC + online). So yeah, the most random PJ item I own was my very first bought burned copy of a Pearl Jam show. When I got home the following week seeing Day's Of The New, Jerry Cantrell, Metallica & my fellow Greek Town family, well, I never bought a CDR show ever since. I became the Pearl Jam B+P master the following year. 8-)
