The two strats I know that Mike plays regularly are a '59 (rosewood board) and '58 (maple board).

The custom shop from Fender and Gibson have been hammering out signature models for a long time. It would be pretty cool to have his Burst and '59 strat dissected by the custom shops and re-created down to the last nic. The asking prices will be well over $10,000 for the Burst but the '59 strat maybe in the $5,000 range especially if Fender uses Brazilian rosewood on the board.

Check out Page #1, Page #2, Pearl Gates, Melvyn Franks, Bloomfield, etc... from the custom shop. The murphy aging is pretty awesome. I certainly would be in line for either one if Fender or Gibson came out with one.

A better way to do this is to start threads at Gibson Custom -> http://forums.gibson.com/default.aspx?g=topics&f=64

    and at Fender http://fender.com/community/forums/
