Should I fork out the money and go to Roo, or do i risk them playing other shows?

It's going to cost me over a grand to go to Roo, (food and gas included.) Will it be worth it? or should i risk not being able to see PJ in my home state, hoping they will announce other shows?

Only you can prevent forest fires. And only you can decide what's "worth it" for you. How bad would you feel if they didn't play in near you after all and you'd given up the chance to see them at 'roo? Answer that, and the truth shall be made clear, no crystal ball needed.

  • Just consider that Bonaroo is a festival with a bunch of other bands (some good, some great, some shit), so you'll be able to see them as well. After that, you need to ask yourself "is it worth seeing PJ for a short(er) setlist than normal for about a grand?" If you can afford it, go for it, absolutely! If not, I wouldn't pursue it, save that cash for the next time they do a euro festival! Now that is a festival my friend!!

The ROo is a RIP OFF! I am going to LA #1 for cheaper than Roo tix, and I'll be able to take a shower before and after the show if I want to!
Screw Bonaroo, I hope PJ cancels!

true, but a plane ticket and 2 shows to go to LA from Indiana is a bit more than Roo plus travel expenses.
(cant fly to LA and only see 1 show....that'd be wasteful!!!)

and who needs a freakin shower??? jeez..... ;D

  • I do believe you could go to Bonnaroo for less than a thousand dollars if you so chose to. It cost less than that for me last year and I came from Seattle.

Don't go to Bonnaroo if you only want to see PJ. I mean it's 4 days of music, and PJ will play only 2-3 hours of that. If PJ is the only band you like in that lineup it sounds pretty silly to go. I mean it's not like it's Led Zeppelin; PJ tour pretty much every year so they're easy to catch.
