Hello everyone.

Went to see Band of Skulls on Saturday night at King Tuts Wah Wah House in Glasgow. They were excellent (even though we had to leave early to catch the train!). Superb three piece from Down South with some superb riffs going on there, the live noise was excellent, the power was great. Right on the button!

In support were an excellent band called Culann from Ayrshire. They were proggy and knew how to play, mixing it up a fair bit. Check them out.

Cheers,

g

Yeah. I have Band of Skulls' first album.

Pretty good. There's a song called "Honest" that I particularly like.

Good band, really liked their debut. Standout tracks for me would be I Know What I Am, Honest, Fires, Patterns, Hollywood Bowl and the last two.

It's alt rock, sort of similar to the Arctic Monkeys, but still different in some ways...
The band is a trio; 2 guys and a gal. All sing, I believe.

Baby Darling Dollface Honey is a great album. I've been surprised that Band of Skulls hasn't received more press and doesn't seem to be playing the festivals so far. I was hoping they'd be at Bonnaroo.

Ok so I bought their album, Baby Darling Doll Face Honey, today and I really like it a lot. Kinda reminds of The Von Bondies or Duke Spirit. Solid band definitely gonna check them out next Friday with The Whigs in philly :)

Has anyone seen them live? I really like their first album, but haven't heard their newest yet. They are playing a local show in March and wondering if I should check it out.

Great album. Its been months since Ive listened to PJ, and this is just another new found band that has taken their place.
And so you see, I have come to doubt
All that I once held as true
    I stand alone without beliefs
The only truth I know is you.
