......and Johnny Depp as Eddie Vedder

~ How many threads over the years have we had were people talk about if they made a Pearl Jam movie who would play the guys. Russell Crowe gained steam on Johnny Depp in recent years as the guy most thought should play Ed but this picture proves once and for all who should play Eddie in a movie. :lol: ~

    I thought the same thing yesterday when I saw another photo of him on yahoo.

    no way. sorry but crowe from state of play minus 5-10 pounds looks EXACTLY like ed. pay special attention to the mole on his face and the heavy, downward slanting eyebrows. same as ed's. carbon copy here.

    yeah i saw that. pretty funny.

    for some reason i thought Benicio Del Toro in Sin City looked like him sort of. had that same crazy Eddie look from the early days.

    thats funny, because i was readding the sun newspaper, at work, and there was a pic of johnny jepp, and for a split second i thought it was eddie vedder.

    but i do think russell crowe would be better, jonnhy would probably get tim burton to direct, and can you imagine what kinda movie that would be..lol

    Don't think we will ever see a Pearl Jam or Eddie Vedder movie. His life has been too good for too long, compared to some of the messed up artists that have gotten movies :)

    It of course has been a day dream for all of us, buts lets face it - it will never happen in our or their life times - there hasn't ever been a LedZeppelin or Beatles movie - not a major motion picture - and for Pearl Jam I honestly believe that a bad ass "true concert film" would capture them most anyway -
    But if they did..... I think it would all come down to whom ever could nail that odd and so recognizable Ed talking announciation - and the bar would be the way said actor would say "Fuck"

    But according to U.S. magazine Star, Depp wasn't offended by the mix-up.

    A source says, "Johnny thought it was hilarious. And he told them he's a fan of Pearl Jam too."

    I just don't see it... mind you they are both very lovely and talented men. In the pictures I have seen they have the same hair style and beard at present but the shape of their faces is completely different. Mr Depp has a squarish face with very deep sharp features while the darling Mr Vedder's face is ovular with the beautiful full kind of cheeks that were made for kissing and squeezing...that is only my opinion which matters very little but thought I would share none the less. :lol:

    I gotta go with Depp on this one. That picture of Crowe is crazy similar to Eddie, but I think Depp is the better actor with less tude and could pull off Eddie better. And he just looks like a musician.
