BTW, checked CD 101's playlist this am, they played 2 PJ songs back-to-back. Was anybody listening? Maybe they alluded to it then....

    I definitely echo this sentiment.

I feel sorry for your family if a band is holding back your vacation plans. :o

After a PJ song on a rock station in Dayton earlier this morning the dj mentioned that they were going to "tour in the summer and come close, but not to Dayton." I called and they said they can't mention anything officially until next Monday probably, but he said most likely it's Nationwide Arena in Columbus in May. Just what he told me. I'm sure that doesn't help anyone, sorry.

Listening to 92.3 in Cleveland, just announced, "Pearl Jam coming to Cleveland. Tune in Monday morning for details." Then Spin the Black Circle was played. So exciting if it's true-but can't believe the fan club doesn't know first. I emailed the station for what time to tune in. Will let you know if I hear more info.

I'm from Columbus, and I agree that C-Bus crowds have sucked in the past - but not just for PJ, and it's not the crowd's fault. After all, it's not like columbus residents are inherently less rock-n-roll than cleveland folks. The problem was Polaris Ampitheatre sucked ass!! The local noise ordinances were so strict, they couldn't play loud or long! I hated that place, so glad it's gone. Saw DMB there twice, you could barely hear the music. Horrible.

so my point is, i'm excited to see them at NW arena! Gonna kick some ass.

Article about Veteran's Auditorium in Columbus. Basically, the people that run it are just trying to figure out what to do with it now that the landscape of the area has changed.

Watch..they will demolish the Vet and build that casino there.

The problem in Columbus is there is no shortage of venues for a band to play at. Why play at the Vet when you have Nationwide, The Schott, LC, ect... not to mention stadium tours can do either Ohio Stadium or Crew Stadium. Plenty of places to see bands around here...they just need to attract more decent bands!

The casino will be further out of downtown. The people voted to have it downtown, now they want to revoke that for some reason....so Vets will be there for the time being :-)

Yeah. I've heard that too. I've heard it's going where Cooper Stadium is now. That's nice... Hilltop doesn't have enough crime and problems as it is.

Nope voters voted to have it right behind the LC pavillion/across the street from Nationwide. There used to be a brick builder or something back there and its now all torn down. The place where Cooper stadium is, rumor had it they wanted a NASCAR track to be put there. But I think that got shot down, haha! Now I still want to say they want to put some sort of car track there.

Either way COME ON PEARL JAM make us BUCKEYES happy come to COLUMBUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad you like that. This is actually my wife's account. I'm Backspacer_Backer on here, but the wife finally took the leap and decided to join 10c (only took me 15 yrs of brainwashing). The only catch was, she asked me to sign her up. Which means I got to choose her name and login information. So yeah, I'm having some fun with this.

If Columbus is rumored, State College is rumored. Thats Ohio State U. and Penn State U., maybe a small college campus tour? Just a thought.

Small college? Really what you want to say?

Penn State's stadium seats 107,282. Largest in the Western Hemisphere and third largest in the world.
Ohio Stadium seats 102,329. Ohio State University is one of the largest colleges in the country (goes back and forth between them and Texas) in terms of enrollment.
