Just a St. Patrick's Day related question. I was wondering who in the band is Irish. I don't really know anything about their ethnic backgrounds, so I'm throwing out this question to you guys.

Thanks,

McCabe

McCready and Cameron are by last names

Ament, Gossard, Severson, and Gaspar are not Irish last names, but maybe on their monther's sides (fathers for Ed) they have some Irish in them

Aye. Never heard of Cameron being Irish before. Any Mac could be Irish, but It's far more likely to be Scottish

i'm more a fan of popular bands.. like the bee-gees, pearl jam
  • I'm mostly Irish (over 75%) but our clan originated in Scotland before making their way over to Ireland like in the 1500's. I think that most "Mc" names are originally Scottish, but whatever. There has been a lot of mixing between Scottish and Irish over the centuries.

I'm going to listen to the Dublin bootleg now.

Mc is just an abbreviation of Mac and neither denote Irish/Scottish
