Yield makes me feel small

Sorry, I hate posting pointless threads, but I'm in Atlanta for work and I'm lonely, bored and a little drunk. I have devoted my entire life to art, and no piece of art hits me like Yield. It is the single greatest work of art I have encountered in my 28 years of life. No matter where life takes me, Yield is always there. Occasionally making me feel properly small...
Further back and forth a wave will break on me, today...

Feeling small is not a bad thing, some times being small give you a better perspective... a pointless answer to a pointless thread!

I know what you mean, man. Yield is a very powerful device that almost serves as my personal religion. It's so uplifting and spiritual. I feel like I'm on cloud nine when I listen to Yield.

Yield is the album that made me realize that Pearl Jam is the band that I will always follow/care about forever!
  • It really is an awesome album. I had to bust it out and listen to it yesterday.

Its rare to come upon a bridge that has not been around
    Or been stepped on
Whatever the notions, we laced in our prayers
The man upstairs is used to all of this noise
    Im through with screaming

And echoes nobody hears, it goes, it goes, it goes
Like echoes nobody hears, it goes, it goes, it goes
    Were faithful, we all believe, we all believe it {4x}

  • I have "Yield" in my car...will have to bust it out on the drive home. It is an awesome piece of work, it's what drew me back to PJ after I wandered away pre and post "No Code" (not that I dislike "No Code", but life interfered)

Pretty funny to find this super lame thread I started years back. I remember exactly the night I wrote it!! hahaha
I was pretty dead on about the power of Yield tho ;-)

The power of Yield indeed. Changed my life, persona, address, everything. Actually maybe it re-affirmed what I already knew, but just put it into such a clear, beautiful sweet reality in the form of music.

In the words of B - I am changed. I can not go back to what I was before.
    take the reigns and
steer us towards the clear here
I know it's already been sung
but it can't be said enough
