I've never liked this show, it was just never funny to me.

kevinbeetle: "Yes. When her career washes up and her and Gavin move to Galveston, you will meet her at Hot Topic shopping for a Japanese cheerleader outfit.

I find this show annoying. Ray and Debra- just move to another neighborhood!!!!! :)

And the best sitcom ever has to be Seinfeld.

Ugh. Never saw the appeal. Everyone on the show irritated the hell out of me. My favorite sitcom: Sports Night.
  • My grandmother was a big Everybody Loves Raymond fan, I never really got into it. Seinfeld, hands down best sitcom ever. I watched an episode the other day that I must have seen 20 times before and I laughed my ass off the whole episode.

  • This and King of Queens have to be two of the most overrated sitcoms ever.
Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.
  • No way. Seinfeld, The Office, It's Always Sunny in Philly (minus new season) are about 1000 times better than Raymond garage.

Maybe not "best ever," but definitely some classic episodes IMHO.

BTW, Debra (pre-"work") was hot! :p

I think it's weird that CBS has had the funniest sitcoms in the last few years. Growing up all CBS had was 60 minutes and Murder She Wrote :)

That would be false as well.

Everybody Loves Raymond has never raised the slightest chuckle from me.
"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"

I think it's a very 'mainstream' show, not edgey at all which is probably why a lot of people don't like it. I really think it helps to get it if you have experienced that kinda life style, i.e...married with children, and the whole inter relationships it brings, like wife v mother in law, brother and wife, grown up son and father...brothers...etc.

I get it, I find it very funny indeed at times.
    I came, I saw, I concurred.....

now, there are so many negative replies in this thread, no one would dare say they think it is funny, except for me. I think king of queens is funny as well except Leah Remini(sp) is too nasty to her husband.

I loved Roseanne....I was a bit obsessed with Darlene there for a while! Thought she was hilarious when I was younger.

Maybe i just dont get American sitcoms....Seinfeld, King Of Queens, Everybody Loves Raymond...i mean ive genuinely never even laughed once at any of them.

Correction - i did laugh once while watching Raymond cos my friend texted me "why does everybody love raymond if he's such a cunt?"..

hehe, that got a laugh out of me

oh my god i cannot stand King of Queens or Everybody Loves Raymond.
please....i am begging you, run me over with a train before making me watch either one of these shows any longer.

please,...rest a glowing red hot anvil to the side of my face as you throw bricks at me from the top of a very tall building before turning my tv to these shows.

i can still watch that show on re-runs, except for the last couple seasons. but i see how some might not dig it. i also love(d) cosby show, but i think that's it for traditional sitcoms. Give me Sports Night, The Office, Arrested Development any day.
