Who else gets to work on turkey day?

So who gets to eat a turkey sandwich instead of a turkey dinner? I can't wait to sit on my ass from 2-12 in the office. no turkey dinner, no beer, no football. i'm going to be so effing lost :mad:

    Sucks dude. My work shift rotates like that. I work every other week from Wednesday to Wednesday. So if a holiday falls on my work week, then I have to work it. This year is OK, the only holiday's that fell on my week are New Years eve/day and the 4th of July.

    My wife has to work !

    She has to been at 4:30pm Turkey Day, she normally works day shift but has to work a 2nd shift

    Sucks we wont be together for turkey dinner :(
    My drinking team has a hockey problem

    The ONLY thing better than a glass of beer is tea with Miss McGill

    I'm off for four whole days, thursday, friday, saturday and sunday....which is great, I have no plans but it is great ...but if someone wants to invite me over for a nice holiday feast....I'd love to come:)

    i will have the internet and all the time in the world to be on it. being in the travel business, turkey day is extremely dead. at least i'll get paid double time :D

    my husband's working from 6am till 8pm.....i don't think there's gonna be any food left for him...well at least no dessert:)

    I'm working...

    I'm hosting the dinner.....preparing, serving, cleaning, etc.

    At this point, I'd rather sit at a desk all day long performing some brain-numbing task than cook and subsequently clean for a few hours on Thursday...

    ..but I'm just feeling bitchy at the moment.

    this too...shall..pass...

    on Friday...when everyone is out of my house and I have peace and quiet once again.

    I work for retail and have to be at work at 4 AM.. some other co-workers have to be there as early as 2 AM.

    Did I mention I was doing some serious job hunting today?

    I know. I won't go to sleep that night and just go to work drunk. :p ..probably better than trying to get just a few hours of sleep.

    Atleast I can walk to work now since I moved..

    I used to have to work those crazy hours. I have to be in at 6:00am on friday, oh well its football and turkey for me on thurs,...

    well dont feel bad

    Im the designated driver, child watcher, pie baker and wine buyer-which is more work than my usual workday

    so sometime around 9pm I will get a chance to relax and have a glass of the wine that I bought for the clan

    Id ALMOST rather be at work

    i have thursday off....but

    i worked 8 hours sunday...
    12 hours monday...
    10 hours tuesday....
    10-12 hours wednesday....
    10-12 hours friday....

    and ill end up working either saturday or sunday.....

    not that anyone gives a rats ass........

    well i wasn't planning on working on friday, but it seems I'm going to have to. But I have to do a task where I have to call people, and who the hell is going to be in their offices?

    I don't this year... I only had to once (when I was working another job), but it was like a 6AM-2PM shift, so that wasn't bad. I made like double time and was still home for dinner.
