i still can't believe it. i'm trying to figure out where i'm gonna put it. i'm not a major tv watcher, but i'll try and get some use out of it. it's also my dad's birthday today, and i figure i should share it with him.

but still, should i test my luck and buy a lottery ticket?

my buddy's having a party though. unlike me, he's got his own place. and his projector makes an even bigger screen (although not hd).

    I dont even have HDTV...
BTW I heard that all the analog TV's will be useless in 2009 unless I buy an HD adapter because all the networks are programming formats into HD?

They're going all digital, which means you'll need a digital box...they cost like $3 a month to rent from the cable companies normally. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

    Peace

I never thought I'd see the words "won" and "maple leafs" used in the same sentence, but congrats!

To the all broadcast in digital by 2009, I think it'll still work with an analog TV..

    Yeah.

The only thing that will be obsolete are VHF/UHF antennas. As long as the cable company, satellite provider, or television itself can interpret the digital signal, you'll be fine.

Doesn't mean that a bunch of uninformed won't be buying new flat-screens at obscene rates, though.
