sufjan stevens has the worst elements of folk and showtunes. It's crappy.

    Sigur Ros- Takk, Bloc Party

honorable mention to the very underrated X&Y

Hmmm, I guess when some people hear honest, personal lyrics and gorgeous arrangements, others here the worst elements of folk and showtunes. To each their own.

I'm changing my favorite of the year to Kate's Aerial. Quite possibly the most beautiful album of the year, and maybe ever....

I'd have to go with either of the following:

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Howl
    Robert Plant - Mighty Rearranger

Actually bought these on the same day without hearing anything beforehand except one track from Howl. Needless to say, I was very pleased with my purchases that day.

This is VERY, VERY difficult. Soooo many great albums came out this year. It's really a huge challenge to narrow it down.

I guess for me personally (if forced to choose) , I would say it's...

    Audioslave ~ Out of Exile
    AND
The White Stripes ~ Get Behind Me Satan

So that is how I learned the lesson that everyone is alone. And your eyes must do some raining if you are ever going to grow. But when crying don't help and you can't compose yourself. It is best to compose a poem, an honest longing or simple song of hope.
