ive said it before and ill say it again, layne was amazing. AiC are my favourite band in history and i was just listening to mad season's river of deceit. it is UNBELIEVEABLE! if any one is reading this and hasnt heard any alice or this song from Layne's side project please chck them out. i did and it changed my perception of music

at least so the prophet says"
"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"

I pretty sure he recorded this when he kicked the booze habit...
Lots of clarity in his voice..
too bad he couldn't exercise the other demons in time..
Any Human loss is regrettable (so don't flame me for saying this )

but I think 1000 times more about the loss of Laine than the loss of Cobain
    as a musical atrist...

    Just my opinion...

Layne Staley. Wow, a picture says a thousand words, but so does this name. But the least to say, great musician, but he really was a fucking great artist. AIC is right behind PJ in my book so yeah, I LOVE THIS BAND!!!

i just dug above out last weekend. have you heard the john lennon cover they did for his tribute album?
    standin above the crowd
he had a voice that was strong and loud and
i swallowed his facade cos i'm so
    eager to identify with
    someone above the crowd
someone who seemed to feel the same
someone prepared to lead the way
