Play three nights at the Oprheum in Boston and I will be a very, very, very happy man. They haven't done a show there since 1994.

    it would suck getting tickets!!

but be an awesome show for sure!

I love outdoor venues, too.... I can't remember if they've played Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto before, but I love going to summer concerts there (they would definitely have to make 100 level GA for PJ :) ).... Olympic Island in Toronto would also be a good outdoor venue for them (except that it takes 2+ hours to get everyone ferried off the island after the show...)

Wrigley Field seems like the only place in Chi they haven't played
They haven't played Northerly Island, that would be cool.

Red Rocks, Colorado really is overdue for a show. It's a legendary venue and Pearl Jam seems to keep chosing the Pepsi Center instead... bad choice.

I was wondering if this could ever be of any help to the band. I hear there's touring to be done next year, so how about we get in now with our REALISTIC suggestions. We've all seen the wonderful venues they played in Italy in 206, on the dvd, so I figure it'd be nice to see the band in a slightly more 'unusual' setting. I mean Wembley Arena is ok, but a bit of a 'carachterless barn' all the same.
Give a brief case why it could happen, I mean who knows...maybe some of this info could be passed on and used......that's a nice thought.

Let's keep it realistic folks, i.e...don't bother with 'my garden/garage/bedroom'....etc....

I'll go first...Cardiff Castle, Cardiff. Wales. UK. :)

    Capacity, usually 10,000
Pros, city centre so good transport links, dramatic, picturesque setting.
    People who played there...Queen/Stereophonics/Green Day/Rolling Stones...amongst others

http://www.dking-gallery.com/posters/sale/Cardiff.html ...(and you thought your PJ posters were valuable  )

Summing up...there's nothing like crossing a drawbridge to see a great band :D

Very nice clean new building with much better seating/viewing than Verizon... which is where they usually play if they ever come back to Indy

Considering the thing with Verizon this tour... they should play:

Verizon Wireless Ampitheatre at Encore Park- Alpharetta, GA
I saw Tom Petty and Steve Winwood there, great arena.

Or I'd settle for The Fox Theater in Atlanta or Phillips Arena in Atlanta. For a big arena, it is a surprisingly great place to see a concert.

    Red Rocks
    Alpine Valley
    Crisler Arena
    Hill Auditorium in Ann Arbor
somewhere in the South besides Florida to stop the bitchin'
Central Park, let's get it on bitches
Fox Theater, Atlanta, GA oh, why not
    Spectrum anyone?
    anywhere in New Orleans
    why not Boise, Idaho again?
    somewhere, anywhere in San Diego
Wrigley Field seems like the only place in Chi they haven't played
Fenway Park let's just get this one over with
any dingy blues bar in Memphis

You request two places in Ann Arbor and Wrigley? I don't think I like you.

However, I would go to the Wrigley show, but a show at Comiskey (US Cellular Field would also be cool. Very unlikely, because the casual fan won't go.

    Other places I would love:

    Alpine Valley
Charter One Pavilion (There would have to be multiple nights)
St. John's Arena (They never have played on the OSU campus; the Schott would also work)
    The old MECCA in Milwaukee
The Joyce ACC (I don't know if the Notre Dame folks would let it go)
    Other college venues

In general, I would love smaller places (12,000-14,000 people). I'm sick of these newer, large basketball arenas. No More United Center.

These people bashing SPAC are outside of their mind!!! SPAC is an unbelievable place to see a show. Wander around all day in the park and have a good time. Also there is a balcony which = more 10c seats. Did I mention the sound there is world class. Last point, if they play in August you can go bet on the pony's all day before heading over to the show.

oof! really? the randalls island dustbowl? not only is the sound absolute crap, but you can't see jack from 2/3 of the place ... especially if PJ doesn't use the (super-crappy) jumbotron, as is their habit.

i'd pull for an allman bros.-style march madness stand at the beacon ... 10-12 shows over the course of the month. acoustics are insane and the place is a step up venue-wise from roseland, hammerstein, etc.

and for israel venues, definitely massada @ dawn. david broza played there with jackson browne and it was f-ing amazing.

While the concept is cool, it'd be a huge shit-fest. Drunk frat boys all over the place, an impossible parking situation, not to mention expensive, impossible-to-get tickets, and a shitty-ass sound system.

Be nice to see them move away from the Entertainment Centre's in Australia and especially Acer Arena, Sydney. After playing RITFW with U2 @ Sidney Myer Music bowl in Melbourne be nice to see them go back there and with all the amazing wineries they could play.

Here's the Bimbadgen Estate, Hunter Valley, I saw the John Butler Trio there and it was a beautiful place. Probably holds 5,000 so that could be the Newcastle, NSW area show maybe?

I'd like to see them at the Post Gazette Pavilion again near Pittsburgh. PJ should also do 2 nights the next time they come to Pittsburgh, whether it's at PGP or Mellon Arena.

PJ should also NEVER play the amphitheater in Camden again. That venue is a shit hole and the sound sucks. Not to mention the hassles from the police I've read about.
