Amazing. There's an opener, didn't catch it, but the new lead singer does staley better than layne. Great show from start to finish. Didn't like the merch so much, but at least that kept a few more dollars in my retirement fund. Have a blast, and don't forget the better of the seattle septet...

I am going to see them in NYC tomorrow night. I've seen the guy singing now when I saw Jerry solo several years ago. He is very good.

Doors are at 6:30 so I guess the show is at 8

I'm going too tomorrow night. Really stoked. I've only seen Jerry solo, never the rest of the guys.
Just checked and opener is listed as "Hurt"

Nokia lists it as soldout, but I found tix on tktbastard

I went to the Atlantic City show with a couple board members and had a great time. They were really good and I loved the tribute to Layne.

Plus we got lucky and got to meet Jerry Cantrell after the show.

the version of Would? with james hetfield on vocals.

This gives the sleater kinney Pearl Jam collaborations seem only incredibley unlistenable.

I saw AIC in Winston-Salem a couple of weeks ago. It was a great show. They sound excellent. The band is tight and the new singer has talent. He really does sound a lot like Layne live. The healthy Layne. Sort of strange seeing a skinny black guy but hearing vintage Alice in Chains.

I saw the "real" AIC twice. Once in a club (at Cadillac's in Hickory NC on the 1991 Facelift tour). Terrific show, Layne was in good shape, charismatic and on fire, they were all young and hungry. Second time was at Lollapalooza, they were so-so and Layne was in decline.

I would place the other nights show squarely in the middle. One of the guys I went with who is a musician and no rookie to rock shows declared it one of the best shows he had ever seen.

I am sure you will all enjoy yourselves.

I was also at this show. It was fucking awesome...although I'd have to say that venue sucked ass and the line outside was absurd. The highlights for me were Nutshell and Rooster. Lots of energy and the crowd was great. I'll still disappointed PJ isn't playing around here. Didn't think I'd ever get to see AIC live though so I'm very pleased about that.

So how was last night's show? I'm going to see them Sat night in Niagara Falls and I can't wait!

Felt like 90's deja vu...moshing, crowd surfing
Band sounded amazing, crowd really into it(alot of love all around)
Made me wish I had tix for tonite and could follow the tour.
Is the new singer a full member of the band or just around for the tour?

Hurt reminded me of that band that sang Cumbersome (forget their name)
Singer's voice wasn't bad, but he used a lot of effects and music was pretty generic

i saw them in ac last weekend, it was such an amazing show!!!! :D (not to mention we got offered backstage passes halfway thru and got to meet jerry!) i think the new guy sounds like layne but at the same time i think jerry helps out a lot, making it sound more authentic. dont get me wrong tho, no complaints here!

i dont want to give away anything specific about the show bc personally i preferred it that i didnt know much going into it but everyone that gets to see them is lucky!

hurt was ok. the bassist reminded us of jack black in school of rock LOL! the singer seemed full of himself...something to pass the time i guess, could have been worse just standing there! haha
