Both me and my other half entered a contest to win a pair of tickets to the HMS Hammer pre-Golden Gods award show party (on a boat up the river Thames with Clutch, Anthrax, Malefice and someone else playing) and tickets to the awards themselves.

Anyway we both entered to increase our chances of winning and we both won !

So if we can't get anyone else to come we may have a couple spare.

I thought you would be!

It's 15th June - you have to be at London central dock at for 3pm - the boat then takes you down the river while the bands perform and it drops you off at the O2 for the awards at 6pm.

I will definitely let you know if some people we know can't make it - think I should get more info in a week or so.

Not sure how many people entered (not many by the look of it!) - I think all bands had giveaways as you can't buy the tickets. From what I gather I think around 500 tickets in total were given away.

I was hoping to get to meet the guys, but with so many tickets given away I'm not sure (still a little hopeful)- although there can't be too many places to hide on a boat! Anthrax are headlining the boat, should be Clutch IMO!

Different bands performing at the awards (none that I'm really into) - Trivium, Devildriver, Amon Amarth, Saxon & Anvil.

Clutch are up for best live act though.

Haha, cheers. Anthrax are ok - pretty good and they've done a cover of Brain of J for a b-side to one of the singless from their new album. Would be good to hear that!
