Anyone pre-order this? I pre-ordered the blu-ray set and my bonus preview disc showed up on Friday. All I can say is wow.... Neil put a lot of work into this and it sounds amazing. My hearing is shit after working around jet aircraft for 10 years, but I'm so glad I went for the blu-ray despite the cost.

Anyone else have this yet and any opinions?

I'll be getting the CD version on 6-1. DVD-A and Blue Ray isn't of much interest to me. I'm glad that he's releasing a CD version because there was some doubt that he would!

I know. I was hesitant to buy the CD version because two of the discs are the performance series discs that I already have (The Fillmore and Massey Hall I believe). And Journey Through The Past is not included. I may end up buying the individual CDs for what I am missing tho.

I'll be buying the DVD set from my local shop (don't have a Blu-Ray player and can't afford it). Can't wait. This series is ground-breaking stuff. Check out the demo of the North Country disc:

If you're a Neil nut, IMO the CDs just won't do (and mp3 download comes with the DVD and Blu-Ray anyway).
Using the word "methinks" in your message board posts doesn't make you look smart.

Pre-Order before June 2 and receive a FREE Blu-ray preview copy of disc 0 that you will get before street date. In addition, receive a rare 7" vinyl single that includes "Aurora" & "Mustang" only available here. All 3 of the Archives Vol. 1 box sets are extremely limited and almost GONE!

This is the first volume of the Neil Young Archives series of box sets, produced by Neil Young himself. Volume I covers the period from his earliest recordings with The Squires in Winnipeg, 1963, through to his classic 1972 album Harvest and beyond, including studio and live tracks with the legendary Buffalo Springfield; Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young; and Neil Young with Crazy Horse.

I'm holding off, as good as this looks. I think I'll eventually pick up the Blu-Ray version when I get a blu-ray player. Everything else looks inferior. Of course, I got burned before when I moved to DVD-Audio as that was Neil's format of choice, and now it's dead.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.
