I know nothing about vinyl, but I've been listening to a lot of Talking Heads lately. Only heard their greatest hits before this, but some of their albums are pretty damn good, like Remain in Light.
I also recently heard Jerry Cantrell's Degradation Trip Vol 1 and 2 for the first time. If you like AIC at all, you've got to get that.

On the topic of Jerry Cantrell, his debut 'Boggy Depot' is superb. I was actually lucky enough to find it on vinyl
And hell yeah on Talking Heads. 'Remain in Light' is excellent, and 'Fear Of Music' I hear is a pretty good album of theirs too.

Clann Zu - Clann Zu (might not be available in US? they're an australian band with irish & uk members)
John Butler Trio - Grand National
Muse - Showbiz
Rodrigo Y Gabriela - Live in Manchester & Dublin
Tuatara - Breaking The Ethers
Not sure if you're into classical music \ movie scores, bit I just picked up the score from "There Will Be Blood by Jonny Greenwood. It's really fantastic, and quite haunting. I also picked up the double CD score \ soundtrack from "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button". The first disc is the score, written and conducted by Alexandre Desplat. The second disc is comprised of period jazz pieces preformed by the original artists. While the first dic is really good, I would have made the purchase for the second dic alone. If you're in to this type of music both of these recordings are worth the price.
