NPR is now streaming Dark Night of the Soul, a musical collaboration between Danger Mouse, Sparklehorse and David Lynch, featuring cameos by the Flaming Lips, Iggy Pop, Frank Black and Vic Chesnutt, among others. Listen here: http://is.gd/zUU3
I’ve seen Pearl Jam 25 times, Eddie Vedder 9 times, and Brad once.

Totally worth listening to, plus this may be your only legal way to ever hear the album as EMI has threatened to sue Danger Mouse if this were to be released commercially

sounds great so far. i love danger mouse's production work, talk about versatile. also, if you didn't read the whole story, they're releasing it as a book of photos taken by David Lynch, which comes with a blank CD-R that says "For legal reasons, enclosed CD-R contains no music. Use it as you will." Can't wait to hear the label's response to that
"Ah, life is a gate, a way, a path to Paradise anyway, why not live for fun and joy and love or some sort of girl by a fireside, why not go to your desire and LAUGH..."

Yeah that should be interesting. Almost like when Fionna Apple's mgmt released the mp3's of her album online when the record label wouldn't release the album she recorded.

Or Neil Young releasing "Everybody's Rockin'". When he was told that his albums weren't Rock & Roll, he records a 50 rockablilly album.

Look forward to hearing this when it eventually leaks. The Grey Album is a masterpiece.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.
