Boston summer concerts?

I'm from the south, but I'm going to be living and working near Boston this summer, and I was hoping to see some good rock shows while I'm in the area--either big touring bands or good local acts. I've been a little out of touch with the touring schedules of a lot of bands I like recently, and I was wondering if any other New Englanders knew of any noteworthy concerts in the Boston area this summer. Thoughts?

I have two thoughts, both Boston bands, both for a fan of early 90s college radio

First - Buffalo Tom @ The Paradise (Boston) June 26

There is only one band on the planet I love more than Pearl Jam, it's Buffalo Tom.

oh ... Ed's a fan, here he is with BT's lead singer Bill Janovitz (right) and Red Sox GM Theo Epstein ... this was when PJ came through boston in 2006 ...




Also, on June 6th ... one of my favorite Boston bands who never really made at all will be playing a bar called TT the Bears (in Cambridge).
