I saw on Green Day's website that they'll be coming to DC on July 29th. I think the tickets go on sale this Saturday but I can't find anything on ticketmaster. I have only gone to Pearl Jam in the last ten years so this is my first time trying to get tickets to a show without being a fanclub member. I'm planning on surprising my son since Green Day is his favorite band. Anyone got any ideas? Also on parking up there? I am planning on trying to drive back to southern Virginia after the show. Thanks a bunch!

It all depends on where the concert is being held. If it's a RFK there's plenty of parking on the grounds and subway access. If it's at Verizon Center parking is limited and it's much better to take the train. Those are the largest venues in DC for concerts that I know of.

pollstar.com says it is 7/29 at Verizon Center formerly MCI. We've seen pearl jam there twice. We live far from DC so we took the metro. I do believe there may be parking.
    9/98, 9/00 - DC, 4/03 - Pitt., 7/03 - Bristow, 10/04 - Reading, 10/05 - Philly, 5/06 - DC, 6/06 - Pitt., 6/08 - Va Beach, 6/08 - DC, 5/10 - Bristow, 10/13 B'more
8/08 - Ed solo in DC, 6/09 Ed in B'more,
    10/10 - Brad in B'more

Get there early and you can park at Verizon Center or in the vicinity of the arena. BTW Pearl Jam was just on Storytellers.
