New Ben Harper album

I've heard probably five or six songs off the new Ben Harper and the Relentless7 album (out May 5) and it sounds like it could be among Ben's best albums. I'm really digging Fly One Time, Shimmer and Shine and Lay There and Hate Me. Great energy and great riffs.

I'm definitely pumped for this one, though I hope he adds some more tour dates so I can see him this year.

    my brother in law just emailed me. in the subject line, he just posted a smiley face and said enjoy.

    this album sounds great & i really hope to catch them on tour. he said it's available @ demonoid in case anyone's interested. 8-)

    The first listen or so I thought it was solid, wasn't TOO crazy about it, but now on my 3rd listen, i'm hooked. Soooo good.

    new album is SMOKING. its gotten several plays already, and i think its ben's best work in years. loving 'keep it together' right now.

    Ordered mine from Ben's website...it better be in my mailbox when I get home! I've been looking forward to hearing this in it's entirety. What I've heard so far has been really good...a great change of pace for BH.

    man, i am really loving this record. i really like all of his stuff, but this one is right up there for me. it'll always be hard to top "Burn To Shine" in my opinion, but this is a great record.

    i was just blaring it in my car & some guy asked me what i was listening to at a light. i told him "the new Ben Harper record." he said that it sounded "awesome & i'll have to pick it up." pretty cool 8-)

    i'd have to agree that what I've heard sounds pretty damn good.
    can anyone talk about the mastering on it though? i've already bought a few albums this year that sounded completely overcompressed (crack the skye anyone?) and dont feel like getting burnt again

    I got it 'early'.... But intend on buying it on CD and on vinyl @ saturday' s show along witha tee shirt and stickers! Oh as well as seeing them 3 times in 2 weeks :) Ben & R7 are getting my money don't you worry;) :P

    I was in Sunrise records on Yonge this weekend, and I heard it... I was like 'Who is this? It's amazing!' and I walked out with it.

    I'm VERY impressed with it!
