    Great interview! I feel like Jeff is a guy we don't get to hear much from aside from the group interviews.

    "The Fixer" ... I wonder if that's about Obama... lol.

    Is this song "The Fixer" the only song in their catalog that has the definite article "the" in its title? Let me rephrase that question, because there's always Do The Evolution, Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town, Spin The Black Circle, Around The Bend, Of The Girl, Marker In The Sand, In The Moonlight, etc., But what I meant to ask was is The Fixer the first Pearl Jam song to start with the definite article "the?" Sorry to make this a grammar lesson.

    I keep thinking that this song will be about Obama... But I think I'm secretly hoping that it's about the chemical photographic fixer used in the final step of photograph development.

    theres nothing that directly points to Obama that i noticed. you could certainly make the connection with fix and change and fight to get it back again, but the lyrics (that i understood) are vague enough that it could infer any number of different things. yeah yeah yeah.
