I have to agree with everybody who has said this is the album of the year so far. Buy it, steal it, stream it, do whatever you need to do to hear it. It's been on repeat for the past week in my CD player. And then I take it out, and put it back on within 30 minutes. SO MUCH good music.

This album is amazing. It flows perfectly, it's epic, the music is fantastically layered, unpredictable, and diverse...Colin sounds amazing. I wasn't huuuuge on The Crane Wife, I much preferred Picaresque, but this album blew me away...so great, I can't even say enough good things..."Won't Want for Love" gives me chills..."Margaret's" voice is beautiful

It is the epitome of a concept album, with repeating musical themes, movements and the like...Definitely needs to be listened to front to back the first few times...

As an additional perk, listening to the album is certain to boost your SAT verbal score ;)

Well said on everything! I agree Margaret's voice is very beautiful. Lots of big words in this album too.

I just started listening to them not long ago and I really like em. I saw them on the Colbert Report couple weeks ago I think and they sang 'The wanting comes in waves', they sounded so good. I'm seriously getting all their albums now. :)

For those that are interested ... NPR posted live Decemberists vids from SXSW ...

I saw them in Okaland, this was an incredible show seeing them do Hazards of Love in its entirety.

Check out Wanting Comes in Waves ... I adore Shara Wardon ....
