Ever had one of those moments...

That just happens within 20 seconds and your left just sitting there in awe, wondering what the fuck really just happened? I'd like to share my two experiences involving the same person. I'll try and keep it short and simple.
1.
About a week, maybe two ago I was at my friend Steve's house and he wanted to show me Metallica's clips of their new material and stuff. So we head upstairs. Not even 3 minutes pass and I hear this absolutely horrifying female scream come from down the hall. I'm wondering if Steve has heard this noise, and as I look at him, he's staring at me and says "Did you hear that shit?". He asks me to stay put and he goes to investigate. He returns to tell me that the girl living across the street, our age, who we went to grade school with just ran in the house and her face was covered in blood! She claims that her father beat her, and she was defending herself. Truth be known, she had actually attacked her father, and her father was the one acting in defense. Suddenly there are now two cops, four paramedics, and needless to say some neighbors...and man, are we stoned. I later find out that she had actually been taken back home here to SLC, Utah from Vegas where she was locked in a looney bin...and she's now sent to the local facility.

Tonight, I'm at the gym. I'm on a machine, enjoying a good workout and I see someone walking towards me and intently looking at me. I recognize her as the same girl, and begin to think..."Oh, great.."
She walks up and says:
"Hey sir! Do you remember me?"
me: "uhh, yeah..."
"what's your name, Mike?"
"No, my name is Dave...I've known you since grade school..."
"Oh cool. Well wanna workout together? Or do you have a girlfriend?...you probably do...okay, well cool let's hang out."
and boom, she walks away....and I'm left pondering, and laughing to myself wondering, what.....the fuck?
