So I Yelled At My Boss Today

I still have my job, but boy do I feel stupid. The two of us have to work together for the next couple of years or so before I rotate to another manager, and now we have this little incident between us to get over.
But, we reached a consensus. He did say some shit that was downright unjustified and my yelling and finger-pointing got him to come clean about it.
In fact, he couldn't justify anything that he said which led me to throw a temper-tantrum.
But, no matter what anyone at work says to me -especially when it's my manager- I don't look at it in hindsight as being a smart move to practically lose it right then and there.

When I was a kid we would actually fight in the back of the store b/c he wanted me to wear the Mr. Peanut Costume in front on the boardwalk and I refused. We would really almost fist fight! " Leo, put the god dam suit on now!" Hell with that dad no way!" bang! Boom! Zap! Pow! I would be on the floor fake crying so I did not have to do it. LOL I was only like 12 at the time.

I had it out with my boss as soon as I walked in the door. I union though, so I didn't have to apologize.
[Honestly, I emailed him later with a possible solution to make things easier for his incompetent sidekick to smooth things over a bit]

How did that go from singular to plural?

No, basically it went like this:
"Hey! That's beyond my control, so don't you even try to put that responsibility on me! You know that's not my responsibility so don't think for a moment that I'm going to let you spin that back around on me! Otherwise, I'll go ahead and bring a senior manager in here have that him tell you what you apparently don't understand!"
And that's when he said something like, "I seem to have been having a problem getting through to you lately."
I fired back, "Are you accusing me of insubordination?!"
He goes, "You don't seem to have been following my instructions."
I go, "Do you have any examples?"
And that's when he started giving me bullshit half-ass examples that he couldn't substantiate with any hard facts.
And so I said, "So, basically, you're accusing me of disregarding your instruction -of being disobedient! That's a pretty serious accusation to be making and if you want to make those kinds of accusations you had better start giving me some examples or I sware I will step out of this office and bring a senior manager in here to drag it out of you!...because I'll tell you what...if I've been 'disregarding your instructions' like you've been saying, then I would think you would've brought this to my attention by now and have been carefully documenting it! I don't want to look at my performance review next year and see 'disobedient' on there without knowing what in the world you're talking about!"
I'm yelling and pointing my finger the whole time. He then goes, "Calm down. You're getting excited. I know that we can work things out."
And he later acknowledged that I have up until this point done nothing wrong.
So, it was an eventful evening to say the least.

yeah thats one witty retort.
you should have shown him your comfy boating loafers... that would have scared him off.
My dad is in the same position, he's been working in heavy industry since he was 14 and at the job he's in now for almost 30 years and he says this whizz kid guy has come in with big plans and wants to make changes to the way things are done around the place. He's been trying to defend him from his mates but now he has just agreed with them that 'he's just a fucking dickhead" - his words. The guy apparently bought all of my dad and his workmates a drink at lunch time because someone was leaving, and then the next day pulled them up for drinking on the job! Defniteley sounds like a prick to me.
