Force of Nature Underrated

Decided to give Backspacer a listen for the first time in a while. Forgot that this track is a hidden gem. Not sure who else feels this way. I know Backspacer gets a lot of flack, but there is a lot to love on this album for me—was also the first PJ album that I listened to as I was in junior high when it came out.

    This and Gonna See My Friend are the two best off Backspacer in my opinion. (Unthought Known, Amongst the Waves, and The End rounding out the top 5.)

    I see what you did there! 21 years and counting Get Right has not been played. Crazy. Hopefully those two songs are on Jeff A 50-60 songs list they are learning to play again.

    It's pretty generic, nothing real interesting happening. Same with amongst the waves, another one that gets a lot of love here

    Somehow I have heard get right five times live and force of nature twice. I take it back, force of nature is good live, get right was pretty bad.

    Took a while to like Force of Nature. Slowly grew on me but definitely in the back half of their catalog and not one I need to ever hear live. 
    Agree that this falls around Amongst the Waves but for some reason ATW gets love. 
    Speed of sound was terrible live and not a fan of the album version. I like the demo version a lot. 
    Gonna see my friend criminally underrated. 
    Unthought known, GSMF, Got Some, Just Breathe, The end are my top 5. 
    I’m a bigger fan of this album than most. It holds up. 
    For some reason I get the impression that down the road we’ll hear about 15 other songs written for this album and when we hear the songs it will be like, holy shit, Backspacer would have been incredible with this song and this song.

    In agreement on GSMF and Got Some… would be nice if they sprinkled these into the set lists once in awhile.  Unthought Known is always a treat to hear too.
