Book Recommendations

Looking for any book recommendations regarding the 90's ish music era. Doesn't have to be PJ (I probably have seen or read most of those). I'm just looking for a good non fiction read and I'm sure there are good ones on bands, clubs, or whatever from this time period that I haven't read yet. Thanks for any recommendations.

Small Victories -- The True Story of Faith No More  (if you like FNM this is good)

FRC is not 90s music but written about 80s music (hard rock/metal) -- it is 90s-ish.  ?
Fargo Rock City - Chuck Klosterman
    Amazing book.

"Our Band Could Be Your Life" by Michael Azerrad (more 80s than 90s, but hits many influential bands like Black Flag, The Replacements, Hüsker Dü, Dinosaur Jr., Mudhoney, etc.)

    "Please Kill Me"
by Gillian McCain and Legs McNeil

"Hunger Makes Me A Modern Girl" by Carrie Brownstein

    "Rat Girl" by Kristen Hirsh

"Everybody Loves Our Town" by Mark Yarm

"Rock She Wrote" by a bunch of people edited by Evelyn McDonnell and Ann Powers (covers female artists from the '60s through the '90s)

"Heavier Than Heaven" by Charles R. Cross

"Freaky Dancin' Me and the Mondays" by Bez ('90s Brit Pop Happy Mondays by the group member who's only job was to dance)

"Love is a Mixed Tape" by Rob Sheffield

And I hear "Scar Tissue" by Anthony Kiedis is really good, but I haven't read it.

I haven’t read any Chuck Klosterman, but he’s my favorite guest on the Bill Simmons podcast.

Scar Tissue was really good, but a tough read. It’s a miracle AK is alive. I learned a ton about the RHCP I didn’t know, all from AK’s perspective.
