The shift has really gone to ‘will this event happen?’ to a search for tickets and hotels!!
I’m fully ticketed and booked, however no more than 50% confident it will happen.
This. Hopeful, but won't be too surprised if it doesn't happen this year. But god, I hope it does!!!

Decided to get a hotel after they postponed to this year, jumped on a pass a few weeks back, not booking a flight until we get closer. Also feeling 50/50 if it happens, but worth the gamble.

Does anyone know of any camping areas nearby? We have reservations at Dana Point Marina Inn but are thinking about driving our camper there and making a roadtrip out of it instead.
My wife and I camped at San Onofre Bluffs in 2017. Check that out.

Same.  But 50 percent is the best outlook I've had in months.  Looks like most festivals are trending to happen in September/October.  Most arena shows (at least in Detroit) are trying to give it a go in October (Tame Impala as our biggest arena show scheduled to happen 10/5)

Yes. But don’t expect the surf to be in/near the campground. You gotta drive to the surfing beach and get up early or you’ll wait in a line of cars to get in. At least that was my experience prepandemic.

That is correct...when I was a kid my aunt and uncle were part of the San Onofre Surf Club--spent many tiring weekends there in the waves.

More optimism: I got two emails today offering presale tickets to INDOOR arena shows (foreigner and another band I forget) in September and October in Washington state. Of course I know these shows can all be cancelled in an instant, but if you're looking for optimism....

Were 2 day passes always an option?

    https://ohanafest.frontgatetickets.com/event/ba16q08mrb8hr9v3

Weird it doesnt specify the days, maybe Friday and Saturday?  Riot Fest here usually offers various 2 day passes over the 3 days and you pick the combo.

Or there is something Im just overlooking.

I think it’s new.  It’s not clear but it’s probably Fri-Sat as Sun is sold out and weekend also says sold out.

Its also annoying because I bought single days for Fri and Sun and now this newly offered 2 day pass is cheaper, and doesn’t seem to specify which 2 days you get?

  • Ok please don’t pm or ask for anything more as this is the info I have as of right now. Obviously with the virus, variants and also the vaccine, things can change at any time.

In regards to Ohana, May is the timeframe to keep an eye on because that’s when the governor will most likely be giving approval.

Hopefully this doesn’t get posted elsewhere but let’s be honest, it will be.

If they can’t pull this off by September then there won’t be PJ shows for a long time. Everyone in the US by then will be vaxxed that wants to be so if it’s not enough to bring rates and admissions down then we’re proper fucked.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

So this is just a us resident/citizen concert?

MMJ is playing Keeneland in August (with Dave Matthews Band and others) so it's good to know they want to play. Guess at this point it's just up to California to allow it.

Green Day just postponed their European and UK tour to 2022. Say they are still planning on going ahead with their US tour starting in July.

Very shocked to see all these concerts going ahead this summer in the USA.

no offence, by why? People who got vaccinated or going too will be safe. Those that choose not to, well bummer for them. Why should the responsible part of society pay for their decisions. If someone decides they don't want it, then that's on them. Do we stop driving cars because some refuse to wear seat belts? Time to move on.
