    What kind of band can release two songs so opposite and 30 years into a career? I think they are both unique and good tunes. They are not writing stadium Anthems people , just listen and give it a couple listens before you trash it for not being betterman 2

    I really like DotC. Especially since it shows a completely new side of the band and I am really keen for them to move away from the Backspacer/Lightning Bolt stuff which is mostly ranging between boring, bland, forgetable and mediocre for me. Unfortunately this is a major stepback from DotC to BS/LB for me. I just don't find anything good about this song. Not even Mikes solo which seems to go nowhere. Some parts like the lalalala thing sound like placeholders they put in because they couldn't think of anything interesting to put in there.

    This song is fucking nonsense on first listen.  Will take many more though until I actually form an opinion.

    This song fucking rocks people! The long guitar chords right after Eddie screams are the best things I’ve heard on a PJ rocker in over a decade.  Can’t get it out of my head and it will be staple in the live show for years to come.  This may be an unpopular opinion, but this isn’t going to appeal to the older generation that wants more dad rock. This is actually pushing the band forward in a fresh and exciting direction.

    I really like it. The ladala and the spoken delivery of she was a stunner are the weakest parts of the song, but other than that, it rocks. I like it and the lyrics seem solid from what has been deciphered. People were trashing the focus on my focusness, but I really dig that part and Ed's delivery. Going to be hard to spit that all out live, but there are some cadence switch ups that give him breathers in there. I don't hear the BS or LB similarities, but I can hear some Self Titled similarities in guitar and Ed's singing. Can't wait to hear this on headphones!
